Project Description
Edit While Watching (EWW) enables users to create and edit a summary of a home video in an easy and intuitive way, using only their remote control or a touch-screen. Within a period of 4 months a working demonstrator was designed and implemented.

MiPlaza was involved in the implementation of the demo, making use of DirectShow, DirectSound and Direct3D APIs, for DV audio and video decoding and rendering.
The entire EWW demo was implemented in C# using an iterative software development process, showing an increase of functionality every 2 weeks.
In order to allow researchers, 3rd parties and MiPlaza staff to collaborate, a software configuration management system was made available.
The demo was designed and implemented in such a way that it could be controlled by remote control and touch-screen.
